We love to travel to new places and this where we can let you know all about the special new locations.
These regions are ones we love to visit that sit just outside the areas we normally go to. It’s a part of the website we hope to be expanding over the years!
Sicily is a delightful island set in the sparkling seas of the Mediterranean, as famous for its food as for its diverse cultural legacy that spans the ancient Greeks to the Spanish.
Our tours to the world wine capital of Bordeaux usually begin here and end in Rioja. This is a very rare way to combine 2 of the greatest world wine regions on one trip with Europe’s gastronomic capital in between. It also follows the route of the Bordelais when they looked for new vineyards when phylloxera hit in the 1860s, enabling some great storytelling en route of how the 2 regions are connected. Stellar wines too
Get used to new varietals like Roditis, Moscofilero, Malagousia, Mavrodaphne, Assyrtiko and Agiorgitiko. These local wines are astonishing, interesting and novel. Sometimes blended with international varietals like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon they are often better when left to express their native terroir. But that’s for you to decide on your own Greek Odyssey.
