In April 2019 we had our first Culinary Tour to Catalunya with top chef Karen Bell from Wisconsin.
Catalunya is a region that has a diverse range of food and wine, some of the world’s best. From a rural calçotada to a Michelin star show-cooking extravaganza on the Mediterranean coast this was a trip that kept on delivering in terms of quality experiences.
Here are some images that help to capture the fun and fantastic culinary experiences on this gastronomic tour de force to Catalunya. This trip set the template for future Culinary Tours to other parts of the world. Some of what you see below is the rural hotel in Priorat, a cooking demonstration in Barcelona from a chef who has worked in 2 star Michelin restaurants, a visit to the Mercado del Clot in Barcelona, phenomenal dishes from a Michelin star show-cooking experience at El Rincon de Diego, cooking class in Priorat, an olive oil presentation, a paella workshop and a Catalan Calçotada, where we learnt to make Crema Catalana.
