James Lawther is a Master of Wine and has been co-hosting tours with us for many years, especially in Bordeaux, the Rhone, Champagne and Alsace.
James has been a Bordeaux-based wine writer since 1996. He cut his teeth in the wine trade in Paris in the 1980s with Steven Spurrier at Caves de la Madeleine then passed the MW exam in 1993. He was a long-time contributing editor to Decanter and now contributes to JancisRobinson.com. Bordeaux is his speciality but he also covers other regions in France.
